Shanti Shea An is an emerging artist based in Canberra, Australia. After graduating from the ANU School of Art and Design in 2016, her work has focused on the relationship between painting, intimacy and interiority, looking at ways of describing the tension between the sensory experiences of touch and sight. Working across both drawing and painting, she is particularly interested in the depiction of interior settings and still life imagery as a way of exploring gestures which can appear both subtle and quiet.
